Senior Gage Thompson Joins the 1000 Point Club

On Wednesday, February 22, 2017, senior Gage Thompson joined the ranks as a member of the 1000 Point Club during the District basketball game against Bronaugh.  His shot was made during the first half of the ballgame.  Gage moved to Montrose and began playing basketball as a Bluejay in 2016. Congratulations, Gage, on becoming the newest member of the 1000 Point Club.

And the winner is . . .

On Senior Night for our 2016-17 Montrose Basketball team, the Senior Class hosted their Kiss-a-Pig contest finale. The contestants involved were Lana Manard, Denise Fast, and Gil Hanlin. From the beginning, the race was tight but by the end of the contest, Coach Hanlin pulled away as a clear favorite to win. However, a last-minute miracle donation to Ms. Fast's bucket locked up a tie, forcing each of them to kiss the pig to . . .

MHS Freshmen Take Part in REALL Simulation

Local Spelling Bee Approaching

The Local Spelling Bee will be held on  Tuesday, February 28th at 9:00  in the morning.  Parents are invited to attend the spell off, which will take place in the gym. This bee will determine who will attend the Conference Bee, which will be held  March 7th . Encourage your student to do the best he/she can so that they may be chosen to represent Montrose School in the Conference Bee.

Vaccine Clinic to be Held

 Henry County Health Center will be hosting a Vaccine clinic at the Montrose School on  March 9th  for 7th and 11th graders. This offers an opportunity for students to receive their REQUIRED Tdap and/or Meningitis immunizations. Forms will be passed out on February 8th  and need to be returned no later than  February 27th  to assure your child' immunization. In the forms passed out there will be . . .
